The Healing Palette & the Community

Artist Amie Nowell strives to spread positivity and inclusivity as she beautifies as much of this world as possible.

Amie created a mural in Citrus Heights for a community struggling to keep away taggers from barrier wall. This was a passion project dedicated to the creek she grew up playing in, and inspired by her favorite artist, Vincent van Gogh.

Amie painted a 40 foot Flagstaff Mural to kick off the Citrus Heights Arts District makeover in her hometown.
This is an ongoing street wide project with many murals still coming soon! Stay tuned!

"Amie, thank you for a fabulous evening at Mangiamo last night.  This was my 2nd Paint n Sip with you, and I've thoroughly it enjoyed both times.  You and your partner are so well prepared and patient and helpful, guiding and teaching us eager students.  And your happy, bubbly personality keeps us all at ease, even when we are struggling and trying to figure out what the heck we are doing.  lol

My lady friend that I painted with had a wonderful time as well.  She's on the go all the time, working long hard hours taking care of people in distress, teaching Zumba classes, managing and playing in a local band, and babysitting children for her family.  Painting last night with you allowed her 2 relaxing hours for herself - a rare treat in her super busy life focused on others.  Thank you so much!

We'll be seeing you again - assuming I can pull her away again."

Our team had an amazing time at the Paint & Sip event hosted at Mangiamo by 604, led by the incredibly talented Amie from The Healing Palette. Amie was an outstanding instructor—her clear, step-by-step guidance made painting our serene koi fish canvas both approachable and enjoyable, even for beginners. Her warm, encouraging demeanor created a relaxed and fun atmosphere for everyone. The venue was easy to find, with plenty of parking available, and the staff at Mangiamo were exceptionally welcoming and attentive. The food was not only delicious but also served promptly, adding to the smooth and enjoyable experience.Overall, it was a fantastic team bonding activity. We highly recommend both Amie and Mangiamo by 604 to any group looking for a well-organized, creative, and memorable event.
